In our last post, I mentioned that things had been quiet lately for us because we had been working on Lady Vashj and that we hoped to have some news with regards to her shortly.
I have that news today.
We killed Lady Vashj tonight on our last attempt of the night (which should surprise no one who knows us).
We got to our first semi-controlled Phase 3 transition at the end of Sunday (the last time we attempted her) and knew we had a workable strategy and were close, but needed more time to practice. We deliberated on adding another night on Vashj to our schedule, eventually deciding to skip our regular TK night until we killed her. Tonight was the first such night.
We got better and better as we polished our strategy and execution tonight, moving from an uncontrolled Phase 3 transition to a 20% attempt, an 11% attempt and finally the kill (with only 1 person down).
She went down on our 4th full night of attempts, which is a virtual eternity for us since we only raid 3 nights a week, but is still ridiculously fast compared to many other guilds. This is a tough, tough fight with a ton of randomly moving parts and we worked really hard to get this kill. I’m proud of you guys, enjoy it!
See ya later Sea Bish! We’re off to work on Kael’thas!
