Apparently I’m a terrible GM – I forgot not only to update our progression here, but to snap a picture of the kills. Nevertheless, as Omen’s players generally do, we smote a boss and then pooped all over the Alliance (the Alliance just happened to be an encounter this time)! Phat purpz for some, pleasant ‘We did it!’ feelings for others. Here’s a generic picture to fill in the void that my absentmindedness has left in you.

With a whoppin’ 4 attempts left for the week, we finally managed to keep everyone online and alive through Icehowl’s charge and downed 25M HM Northrend Beasts! Congrats Omen!

Yes it is can be.

It has long been prophesied that One would emerge from the fire and flames of the abyssal black hole of Kwantu to save the cows from slaughter. The One would lead the cow people on a mass exodus from their old world, into the horizon to forge a new future. The One would become a new God of a new world. The One has nothing to do with this.

But on a side note Miryuel got the server first [Val'anyr, Hammer of Ancient Kings]! While she still may be waiting for the cow messiah to save her from the ever-present danger of being McDonalized, at least she has a shiny object to take her mind off it. Congrats Mir!

Not often do our updates turn sappy, but today is different. Today I have a slightly inflated sense of pride for my friends I have the luxury of killing imaginary monsters with. Today we beat the game… again.

Omen, as we’ve mentioned, was formed with the idea that a dedicated group of individuals could accomplish more with less time, but more effort, drive, and dedication. And it worked. Omen once again proved to Arygos that quality often beats quantity, even when only raiding three nights to everyone else’s five.

I know our members don’t make a big deal out of our success – partially because we expect it, but mostly because that’s not how we run – but last night, Omen made me proud to be a member, to say nothing of GM.

Huzzah!

We marched in to Ulduar tonight determined to see and defeat General Vezax on our first night of attempts… Mission Accomplished!

We didn’t know going in that we’d end up being destroyed by Voltron, but here we were. After a few hours of attempts, though, we downed the head (and body, and torso)!

It took us much longer than anticipated, but once we managed to not kill the “core hound” pack we managed to finish off Freya. Yay.
