Blizzard must’ve heard the tormented wailing of our healers in their throes of boredom, as this week 3 more bosses were added to Icecrown Citadel. In a new and interesting sort of encounter, we managed to make our way into the Frost Wing to attempt to save Valithria Dreamwalker from becoming the newest type of scourged dragon. After our healers got a grasp on the green orb thingies that I didn’t see and our dps got the hang of killing things that hurt a lot, we managed to free Valithria and cleared the way to Sindragosa! Grats, Omen!
After blowing through the rest of ICC, we ran into a real DPS test in Blood Queen Lana’thel. After several attempts, we worked out a few kinks in our strategy, and consistently got her down to around 5%, until Burglecut the Bloodslayer managed to bubble at the enrage timer and finish off the last 100K damage. Grats Burgle, and grats Omen!
Doesn’t really deserve a news post, but it’s still a fun fight and we finally (FINALLY) got around to doing it.
Our second foray into the Plagueworks lead us to once again face off with Professor Putricide. Obviously we would have preferred to get it down last week, but a kill is a kill. Goo, slime, and gas be damned, we managed not to stand in shit long enough to punish the professor. Grats Omen!
Our first night in the Plagueworks, and Festergut and Rotface were cleaned up nicely. After tearing through the interesting trash inside the Citadel, as well as Stinky and Precious, we took on Festergut. Ten minutes later, we were working on Rotface – who we cleaned up before our night was over. So far so good in the new wing. Next up – Professor Far– Putricide!
